About the Practice
Dr. De Souza provides a comprehensive approach to the care of each patient. She is committed to providing personalized and compassionate care to her patients. This individual approach, combined with her surgical excellence, has elevated her as a much sought-after plastic surgeon in the Kansas City area.
Dr. De Souza is a dual-board certified surgeon, certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She completed her general surgery training in New Jersey, her plastic surgery training at the University of Miami, and her aesthetic fellowship in Charlotte, NC. During this extensive training, she learned advanced techniques at multiple locations nationwide.
Dr. De Souza continues to teach at the University of Kansas Hospital, where she is an assistant professor. In addition, she is humbled to have participated in multiple medical mission trips to Ghana and Haiti.

Dr. De Souza received her bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of Kansas and graduated from The University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2000. She completed a full General Surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry/Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J., followed by Plastic Surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. She enhanced her training with an Aesthetic Surgery fellowship with Joseph P. Hunstad M.D. in Charlotte, NC.
