About Elizabeth Kerner, MD
Introduction
Dr. Elizabeth Kerner is a highly skilled and experienced plastic surgeon. She and her staff care for patients like family, and many of them are longstanding, return patients. Patient education is a primary focus in the office. Dr. Kerner enjoys breast surgery (augmentation, lift, reduction, and reconstruction) and helping her patients attain their desired size. Dr. Kerner also performs facial rejuvenation procedures (facelift, eyelid blepharoplasty, and browlift) as well as offering Botox and fillers in the office.

Dr. Kerner entered private practice in the Dallas area in 1987 and has earned a reputation as an excellent surgeon, compassionate physician, and well-respected business owner. She is board certified in plastic surgery, having earned that designation in 1991. She has served as the chairman of the department of surgery at Texas Health Plano Hospital and on the hospital's executive board. She is also past president of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Education & Training
Dr. Kerner received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where she earned her M.D. degree in 1981. Her completed her internship in general surgery at Vanderbilt University Affiliated Hospitals in Nashville and her plastic surgery residency at Wayne State University Medical Center in Detroit, MI in 1987.

Consultation Price
Consultation Price
The consultation fee is $125 at the time of the visit (or $195 if multiple procedures are discussed and the appointment is slated for 90 minutes). If the surgeon's fee exceeds $1,500 and surgery is performed within six months of the consultation, the consult fee is applied to the cost of surgery.

How Dr. Kerner goes beyond
Dr. Kerner conducts consultations herself following basic intake and history review by her nurses. Patient education is an important part of Dr. Kerner's care of her patients. Her staff is part of that experience and is happy to speak with patients to answer questions before and after surgery. Postoperative visits are important to monitor healing and progress as well as scar maturation. Dr. Kerner desires to deliver excellent surgical results in a caring environment and works hard to achieve those goals for each patient.
