Chin reduction

I had an accident at a young age which caused a fracture (now a protruding bump) on the left side of my jaw. It's not a noticeable deformity on its own but it makes my chin extend much further and look much rounder on the left side making me look very asymmetrical. I recently had an X-ray for oral surgery and they confirmed that the bump is part of my mandible. I would like to know, is there any chance of having this reduced or removed?

An overgrowth of the mandible (jaw bone) in the chin area can either be reduced, removed or even sometimes implants may be used to create symmetry. Careful evaluation of your teeth occlusion is important to make sure no orthognatic work is necessary before.
