M. Scott Haydon MD
About the Practice
I am committed to providing the highest level of surgical skill with attention to detail to achieve results that exceed expectations. It is important my patients feel like they are involved in the process. Over the last 15 years I have molded by practice into procedures that I am most passionate about. As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, I continually strive to achieve excellence. I attend meetings and review journals to maintain a cutting edge for my patients.
My most commonly performed procedures are breast surgeries, including breast augmentation, lifts, reductions and cancer reconstruction. I employ a special preoperative assessment and detailed measurements in breast augmentation consultations to determine an ideal implant size. This system along with precise surgical technique results in minimal pain and the ability to return to normal activities the very next day. I utilize a short scar “lollipop” incisions to minimize unsightly scars and provide a better long term shape for most of my reductions and lifts. It’s very common for me to perform a lift and augmentation at the same time. Since breast augmentation has been around since the 1970s, a large percentage of our patients are revisions and implant exchanges. Modern day implants have revolutionized breast augmentation and fortunately have very low risk of reoperation.
Other commonly performed cosmetic surgery involves body contouring. The popular mommy makeover was coined to deal with areas of the body most affected by pregnancy. Abdominoplasty along with liposuction with PALS (power assisted liposuction) are performed by themselves or coupled with breast procedures to balance the entire body.
Facial rejuvenation with eyelid and brow lifts and face and neck lifts can restore a more youthful refreshed appearance. Rhinoplasty can be done for nasal reshaping and to improve breathing.
