About the Practice
Practice Philosophy
Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Hui attended schools both in Hong Kong and England. He graduated in Medicine from the Medical College of St. Bartholomews Hospital, University of London and trained as a surgeon in both England and the United States. After further training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (specializing in reconstructive microsurgery) in New York, Pennsylvania and San Francisco, he joined the Faculty of Stanford University as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery in 1991. He returned to Hong Kong in 1998. While at Stanford, he was also Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Palo Alto.
His main research interest, in reconstructive microsurgery, has resulted in presentations worldwide and multiple publications. He was invited by the Singapore government in 1997 as the Distinguished Physician to advise them on the development of microsurgery in that country. He has been invited on multiple occasions by the Chinese University of Hong Kong to lecture both in Hong Kong and China.

Patients will be given as much information as possible. Reference materials, videotapes and brochures are available on a broad range of topics. The initial consultation is an in-depth evaluation and explanation of the proposed surgical procedure, and is usually supplemented by computer imaging and written material. Dr. Hui allows time to answer your questions, and appropriate photographs may be shown to illustrate relevant points.
