Professional Background

Originally from Ohio, Dr. Aric Eckhardt, plastic surgeon, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was named to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1992, he moved to Philadelphia, where his post-graduate training was performed at several prestigious east coast university hospitals. He completed a general surgery residency at the combined Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University Hospitals residency program. This was followed by a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Temple University Hospital. During his plastic surgery fellowship, Dr. Eckhardt received additional training at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, which is widely recognized as one of the top cancer centers in the world. While there, he worked with some of the foremost plastic surgeons in the country.

Upon completing his training as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Eckhardt relocated to the Illinois, Quad City area in 1999. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2000, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society, and the Rock Island County Medical Society. Dr. Eckhardt is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
