How do you sit and rest; what position; what tools?

My butt lift is coming up soon; I really need some advice from friends who have been through this. In what position can you be in? How do you sit and lay down? I need some recovery helpful hints!! Thx!

Every surgeon has certain protocols that they prefer that their patients follow after surgery. They do this to help you get the best results possible and make the recovery as smooth as possible. Not too long before your surgery, you'll probably have a pre-op appointment scheduled with your Plastic Surgeon and/or his staff. Before you get there write down (so you don't forget) all of your questions and concerns. Be sure to ask all of those questions at that time and get a clear understanding of what to expect during your recovery. If you've already had that appointment, call the office with your questions. Your Plastic Surgeon's office should be happy to give you all of the information you need. Best wishes!

It depends on the type of gluteoplasy (butt lift). The Pitanguy incisions are on the side of the buttocks so lying on your back will be fine. The more common procedure puts the incision along the lower back and sleeping in a lazy boy with a soft pillow under the lower back is usually satisfactory. If the incision does not go too far to the side then you may also be able to sleep on your side.
