Is there a procedure to just remove the skin around my belly button?

I recently had liposuction (Nov. 2013) to the upper and lower abdomen, flanks and upper back. Although I paid for lower back as well, the doctor did not remove fat from there. I now have some lose skin around my belly button. Will I need a tummy tuck or is there another procedure to remove the skin?

Without a picture or examination, it is hard to give any accurate advice. However, if you truly have loose skin only around the umbilicus, it may be possible to do a doughnut-type reduction similar to a peri-areolar mastopexy in the breast. If this is done, you will have some significant bunching of the skin at the belly button for a short while. This should, with time, however, settle out very much like mastopexy in the breast. Make certain that you see a plastic surgeon with significant experience in abdominal rejuvenation.
