Botox Before or After an Operation
Hello!
I am due to have an operation under general anaesthetic (gynaecology related) next month.
I’ve never had Botox before but would really like to try a little around my eyes.
The only time I have available is a few days prior to the operation. Is this too soon before an operation to have Botox? And if so, how long after the operation would I need to wait before having it?
Or is this not a problem either way?
Thanks so much for your help!
It is perfectly safe to have a Botox treatment a few days prior to gynecologic surgery.

The only risk of Botox just before surgery is possibly moving the Botox from the pressure of the mask used to get you to sleep. However, this risk is very low and you should be OK. There should be no other risks.

It would be ok to have botox a few days before your procedure. You could also have it done any time after your procedure.
