When I was a kid, every five-year-old in town was invited to a magical weekend event called Safety Town. At Safety Town we were taught how to make simple safe choices—everything from using a crosswalk to not touching the stove. If you didn’t pass Safety Town, you couldn’t go to kindergarten. (Harsh, I know.) When you think about how applicable these elementary safe choices are—even into adulthood—you realize that even the simplest choices require, at some point, that someone teach them to you.
Oil and water. Fire and ice. My own taste buds and cinnamin-flavored coffee. (Never again.) There are things in this world that simply do not, and should not mix. Yes, yes. We know. It’s easy to get lost in the boozy haze of happy hour cocktails and other friendly gatherings, we thought we should, however, point out two more things that don’t mix: Botox (Botulinum Toxin) injections and parties.
