A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Yamahata earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California before enrolling at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. At UC Davis, Dr. Yamahata completed his entire medical education and training, including residencies, internships, and fellowships in general surgery, plastic surgery, and clinical nutrition.
