At the Arizona Center for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery , Dr. Steven H. Turkeltaub always seeks to provide his patients with the highest level, state of the art care in a comfortable, friendly and relaxed setting. This is an award given to the relatively few doctors who consistently receive positive reviews from patients regarding their bedside manner, patient care and experience, professionalism of support staff, follow-up care, and doctor-patient interaction time. He proudly continues this approach on a daily basis.

Professional Background

Dr. Turkeltaub attended the honors Six-Year Medical Program at Boston University and Boston University School of Medicine. He completed both college and medical school in just six years rather than the normal eight or more years and received Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) and Medical Doctor (M.D.) degrees. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was selected to both Phi Beta Kappa, the national scholastic honor society, and Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. Post-graduate training included a residency in general surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago. This was followed by training in plastic surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where he learned from world-renowned plastic surgeons.

He subsequently held an academic appointment as Clinical Instructor and Attending in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1987 he moved to Arizona where he has been in practice ever since.

Dr. Turkeltaub has authored several papers and textbook chapters on plastic surgery. He has also written articles appearing in magazines and newspapers.

Consultation Price

Dr. Turkeltaub offers complimentary consultations for most cosmetic procedures. During your personal consultation, he will ask you about your aesthetic goals, expectations and other relevant information as well as conduct a thorough examination. He will offer appropriate recommendations and comprehensively review the options available to you, making sure that you understand and are well-informed of each option including the associated potential risks and complications of each choice. If Dr. Turkeltaub feels that a procedure is ill advised, inappropriate or unnecessary, he will most definitely make that clear with you (and, of course, not perform the procedure).

Insurance Options

We are providers for many insurance companies which can help cover reconstructive plastic surgery procedures. Some of the procedures that would fall in this category are breast reduction, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, skin cancers and eyelid surgery (for patients whose eyesight is affected by excess skin).

Financing Available

Cosmetic surgery procedures are not covered by insurance. We do offer a variety of convenient payment options including cash, cashier’s checks, credit cards (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, and Discover®), and financing through a variety of financing companies .

Surgical Facilities

Our office in Scottsdale includes a well-equipped surgical facility where Dr. Turkeltaub performs minor cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Most surgical procedures are performed at either North Valley Surgery Center or Piper Surgery Center on the campus of HonorHealth – Shea.
