As your plastic surgeon, I will listen to your concerns, and offer compassionate advice about potential surgery outcomes. You won't be rushed through the decision making process. You can expect to receive friendly, first class service from everyone at Carolina Coastal Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. We believe it is everyones job to contribute to your positive experience - from the first phone call to the last post-operative visit. Our Patient Care Coordinators will spend as much time as you need on the phone to address any questions or concerns you may have. They are also available to assist you with financial programs and hotel arrangements, if needed. They recognize that patients have busy lives and schedules too, and make every effort to accommodate this.

Our surgeons have skills in many areas of surgery which will enable them to select the best and most effective course of treatment for each patient based on an individual basis. Background & Certification
Dr. Steve White is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery.
Dr. Steven White obtained his undergraduate training in 1975 at the Citadel, graduating with honors. He began his medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina, on an Air Force Scholarship, where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine in 1979. He immediately entered a surgical internship at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi and continued in surgical residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. In 1984 he completed his general surgery residency and in 1986, completed his plastic surgery residency. While in the Air Force, he was assigned to the Wiesbaden Regional Medical Center in West Germany. He had the honor of becoming the first Air Force Plastic Surgeon ever assigned permanently to the European Theater, and held the distinguished position as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Through his medical work during the Pan Am hostage incident, U.S.S. Stark missile attack, and the Italian Aerial Disaster at Ramstein Air Base, he gained extensive experience in burns and facial trauma.

Dr. Steven White was a graduate of the Citadel in 1975. He graduated with honors. He was also the first Air Force plastic surgeon ever assigned permanently to the European Theater and held the distinguished position of Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Steven White is the founder/CEO of Carolina Coastal Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; established in 1989. In 1999, he held the office of Chief of Staff at the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is currently ranked Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

The first is a preliminary consultation, offered free of charge with one of our Patient Care Coordinators. After your preliminary consultation, your next step is to make an appointment with one of our Board Certified Plastic Surgeons (a consultation fee is charged at this visit).
The second option is to directly consult with one of our Board Certified Plastic Surgeons (a consultation fee is charged at this visit). At your consultation you can expect your questions to be answered, a review of before & after photos, and a tour of our 15000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art, AAAASF accredited surgery facility.
Staff & Facilities
Both major and minor surgical procedures are performed in our 15,000 private AAAASF (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc.) accredited ambulatory surgery center at 1275 21st. Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, SC. AAAASF is known for setting the highest standards in safety, quality and efficiency. We are proud to be one of only 550 outpatient surgical facilities in the world that meet the high standards set forth by AAAASF.
