About Robert Zubowski, MD
Introduction
Dr. Zubowski is dedicated to offering patients the latest innovations in nonsurgical and surgical procedures, as well as providing the facts about what is safe and realistic. Despite the two decades of experience he’s garnered as a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Robert Zubowski still gets excited about the most basic of cosmetic surgery’s principles—it can and will positively impact people’s lives.
Professional Background
After several years of performing breast reconstruction surgery for cancer survivors, Dr. Zubowski began to recognize a need for support among these courageous women, so he co-founded the New Jersey chapter of Image Reborn, a non-profit support group for breast reconstruction patients. Additionally, he works pro bono for Interplast, with whom he travels to Third World countries and performs reconstructive surgeries for children born with birth defects. He also invests in his own community, formerly serving as president of his town’s Board of Health and as a member of its recreation commission.

Education & Training
To further validate the surgical skills and years of experience he gained while completing a general surgery residency at New York Medical College and an additional residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Robert Zubowski has been board-certified in both plastic and general surgery. He remains fiercely loyal and grateful to both of the institutions that trained and propelled him to his career. He has served as an associate professor of Plastic Surgery at New York Medical College and as the plastic surgery specialty director of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Alumni Association, where he is also an adjunct staff member. Dr. Zubowski is a former associate director of plastic surgery at Ridgewood’s The Valley Hospital and holds a Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In spite of his advanced training, skill, and experience, Dr. Zubowski continues to hone his skills and improve his surgical knowledge by frequently attending plastic and reconstructive surgery forums both stateside and abroad.

To ensure the utmost care and treatment, Dr. Zubowski has established The Robert Zubowski, M.D. Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Also known as The Center, it is a beautiful and immaculately maintained 5,600 square-foot facility that includes a state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery suite. Both facilities employ the latest infection control practices including Electrostatic Spray and Ultraviolet Light Disinfection/Sanitization, exceeding CDC recommendations for infection prevention.
Our ambulatory surgery center is Licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and has obtained the highest level of certification from the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). Our registered nurses are certified in both Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support while all of our anesthesiologists are board-certified professionals. We have dedicated nurses who stay with our patients in the recovery room throughout the entirety of their stay, so that every patient receives undivided attention and care.

The physicians of Jandee Anesthesiology employ the most modern techniques for anesthesia and pain relief including, general anesthesia, conscious and deep sedation, and regional anesthesia. Emphasis is on safety first, while reducing the side effects commonly associated with anesthesia and surgery. Jandee Anesthesiology is an all board certified physician group with practice limited to anesthesia for plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as ambulatory surgery. How Dr. Zubowski goes beyond
