Professional Background

Dr. Schwartz’ interest in plastic surgery began in medical school when he observed reconstructive plastic surgery being performed to repair the injuries of Vietnam War veterans. He found the process of rebuilding and improving the human form to be creative, artistic, and challenging. Dr. Schwartz realized that he wanted to devote himself to improving his patients’ quality of life and self-esteem by applying his surgical skills and artistic talents toward their enhanced appearance.

Dr. Schwartz trained in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and in general surgery at The University of Arizona. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College.

Dr. Schwartz has remained a life-long student, learning the latest surgical techniques and strategies so that he may continue to offer his patients the most advanced treatment options geared toward their particular situation and goals.
