Professional Background
After medical school, a five year residency training program at the highly competitive Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada concluded with the final year as Chief Resident. Dr. Afridi furthered specialized by completing one year of training in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and body contouring with internationally recognized surgeon and scholar, Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell.
Dr. Afridi then spent a year working internationally for Interplast, a non-profit organization. As the Jerome P. Webster fellow, she performed cleft lip and palate repair as well as burn reconstruction procedures for children in the developing world.

Dr. Afridi performs office-based surgical procedures in a fully accredited ambulatory center, located in the privacy of her New York City office and certified by The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). Both the ultramodern surgical suite and recovery area are equipped to hospital standards and are completely state-of-the-art. Dr. Afridi uses only board certified anesthesiologists and provides safe, quality care in a comfortable environment.
