Sharon Hiner is a true asset to the office, having been part of Dr. Bolitho's medical practice since 2001. Acting as both an Office Manager and Medical Assistant, her extensive knowledge of plastic surgery procedures and office policies is unparalleled. Sharon remains dedicated to helping each patient have the finest experience possible. Her calming and compassionate character is something she strives for every day which invariably exceeds their patients’ expectations and needs. Sharon's invaluable role entails assisting Dr. Bolitho in pre and post operative patient care, educating patients about skin care as well managing Dr. Bolitho's practice.
Kandie Astephen has been an important part of Dr. Bolitho's practice serving as his Patient Care Coordinator since 2004. Her natural, calm demeanor is reassuring to patients throughout their surgical and treatment journey. From the initial phone call for scheduling a consultation all the way through planning postoperative visits, Kandie’s presence is a calming one every step of the way. In addition to greeting patients, discussing surgical fees and financing options, scheduling all appointments, and to obtaining insurance authorizations, Kandie’s knowledge is exceptional. Kandie’s genuine rapport is underscored by her great pride in ensuring that each patient has an excellent experience.
Jennifer Jarvie, RN, who has been with the team since 2012, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at The University of San Francisco. Acting as operating room manager in Dr. Bolitho’s surgical suite, her professional presence is multifaceted in the office. Jennifer plays a valuable role with individualized patient care throughout the surgical experience by educating before surgery, assisting during surgery, and overseeing patients in recovery following their procedure. She is also involved with non-surgical procedures such as Botox, Ultherapy, and laser. Jennifer’s favorite part of the job is being part of the patient’s entire surgical and post- surgical journey; and, as always, looks forward to working with her patients every day.
Joanna LaBar, a certified surgical technologist, joined Dr. Bolitho’s team in 2011. Joanna primarily assists Dr. Bolitho in his surgical suite. She prepares and takes great care of the operating room both preoperatively and postoperatively. This is, perhaps, your most important step in making a decision to have surgery. Dr. Bolitho will meet with you to discuss your goals, desires and expectations and address any questions or concerns you may have. He will offer you realistic recommendations and present you with options based on the information you provide. The goal of this initial consultation is to provide you with a clear understanding of what can be achieved as a result of your procedure.
Staff & Facilities
On-site surgical facility: John Bostwick Memorial Surgery Center - Fully accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF)
In most cases, aesthetic surgery is considered elective and generally is not covered by medical insurance. On the other hand, reconstructive surgery may be covered. You are fully responsible for fees associated with aesthetic surgery. When insurance covers your procedure, Dr. Bolitho’s staff will obtain pre-authorizations prior to surgery. Should your procedure fall into that grey area between aesthetic and reconstructive, our staff will assist in resolving the issue with your insurance company until a resolution is reached. If you need financial assistance, there are a few services we recommend:
