About the Practice

Practice Philosophy

While Dr. Daniel C. Mills’ approach to plastic surgery blends the latest in technique and technology, he believes that a truly satisfied patient fundamentally begins with a strong patient-doctor relationship. He aims to treat every person like family, which impacts the effort and energy he invests into each surgery. Each person who walks into our office has individual goals and expectations. For this reason, Dr. Mills strives to build trust and confidence by listening to each patient’s needs and educating them on all available alternatives.

Your Consultation

Consultation

Our goal with the consultation process is to provide you with all the information you need to make a well-informed decision as to whether plastic surgery is right for you. Your consultation will begin with your initial inquiry via telephone or e-mail. In addition to scheduling an appointment, you will have the opportunity to ask any preliminary questions. On the day of your consultation, you will fill out our health history and registration paperwork, as well as watch an educational video produced by Dr. Mills about the procedure. After the video, you will meet with Dr. Mills and our patient coordinator who will ask what you are looking to achieve through plastic surgery and take the time to address your specific needs and expectations. Dr. Mills will then review with you what to expect with surgery and advise you on his recommendations specifically for you. We will also provide you with an informational packet and show you before and after photos of Dr. Mills’ patients. Additionally, if you would like to speak to a former patient about a procedure, we would be happy to provide you with a phone reference. We ask that you allow approximately an hour and a half for your consultation visit. To schedule a consultation, you can call or contact the Aesthetic Plastic Surgical Institute online.

Staff & Facilities

Surgical Facility

Most surgeries are performed at the Oceanview Ambulatory Surgery Center (OASC), a private surgical facility that offers the highest level of confidentiality to patients. OASC is Medicare certified, which means it has met very strict requirements for providing quality, cost effective surgical care. In addition to employed medical staff with current Advanced Cardiac Life Support training and certification, OASC is equipped with the necessary equipment to monitor your vital signs in both the operating and recovery rooms.

Computer Imaging

We offer the TouchMD and VECTRA® computer imaging systems to help enhance your preoperative experience. TouchMD provides you with the opportunity to take a virtual tour of our facilities and surgical team, read comprehensive pre- and postsurgical information about your procedure of interest, and view educational videos depicting what to expect from start to finish - all from the convenience of our office and the comfort of your own home. VECTRA® 3D imaging is used to help you visualize possible results you may be able to achieve from your surgical procedure. This advanced technology works by producing a three dimensional image of your body or face that can then be modified based on techniques and specific cosmetic desires to show potential surgical outcomes.

Skin Care Products

In addition to a variety of chemical peels and other skin care treatments, we offer several beauty and skin care products designed to revitalize your skin for a healthier, more youthful complexion. Below is a list of some of our advanced skin care products:

BioMedic®
Obagi®
Epicuren
Skin Medica
Jan Marini
Aesop
Total Block
SkinCeuticals®
Total Block SkinCeuticals

Payment Options

Dr. Mills is aware that most cosmetic surgery procedures are not covered by insurance. For this reason, we offer financing services to provide patients with a number of payment options that can help make plastic surgery more affordable. Furthermore, we accept several different forms of payment, including American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal checks, and cash. During your consultation, Dr. Mills and our staff will work with you to determine a payment option that is right for you.

I am looking to get breast implants how long before surgery should I begin consultation visits?

Every surgeon has his schedule differently. This is a quick surgery, so at our office we can get this to work in about 2-3 weeks. There are others...
