Education & Training

Prior to becoming a plastic surgeon in St. Charles, near Chicago, Dr. Bahram Ghaderi earned his degree in medicine from the University of Michigan, which is among the top 10 medical schools in the country. He then underwent training in both general surgery and plastic surgery.

Dr. Ghaderi has had his work published in a number of professional medical journals, including a publication of his research on breast augmentation in an international journal.

In addition to completing years of schooling, fulfilling residency requirements and passing the exams required to practice medicine in Illinois, Dr. Ghaderi participates in the American Board of Plastic Surgery Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. This is an ongoing process of continuing education to keep current with the latest advances in medical science and technology in plastic surgery as well as best practices in patient safety, quality healthcare and creating a responsive patient-focused environment. MOC is an extensive process that involves completing accredited education and specialty training as well as periodic oral and written exams to demonstrate competency. It is the only recertification program recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
