Left breast seems to be adhered to chest wall.

I am asking this question for my wife because she doesn't seem as worried as I do. She is 4 months post-op augmentation with a key hole lift. The left breast really doesn't look as if it has descended much. On her last post-op visit she received a chest strap to wear at night to increase downward pressure on the implant. She has been wearing the strap as instructed and even during the day when able. The left implant seems as mobile as the right but when it is pressed down and released it rises back up slowly. Also, the implant seems to be laterally pushed out at the bottom toward the left biceps. My concerns are that she may be developing a contracture, adhesion to the chest wall or pec muscle, or the pocket was not made correctly during surgery.

Your wife needs to see her surgeon and discuss her concerns with her surgeon.

You could be correct in the assessment of the situation. However, without an examination it would be impossible to comment appropriately as to what exactly is going on. She and you should consult with her plastic surgeon for a candid assessment of the situation. Ask questions and voice your concerns. Let her surgeon discuss with you both what is likely to happen in the short and long term and discuss your options with him/her. Follow the surgeon's recommendations and instructions and if you remain unsure seek a second opinion.

Always seek the consult of a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. They have a website listing all the board certified plastic surgeons. Members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery will all be board certified and have demonstrated special expertise in cosmetic plastic surgery.

Best wishes!
