When is lower eyelid revision surgery recommended?

I am undergoing surgery for cataract removal in both eyes Oct/Nov. How long should I wait before having a cosmetic procedure involving the lower eyelids? I was thinking February or about 3 months?

Eyelid Surgery After Cataract - One should wait at least 3-6 months after cataract surgery to do eyelid surgery, especially if it is a revision surgery. You will have an increased chance of having dry eyes if you are over the age 50.

Oculoplastic surgery after cataract surgery can be considered OK when your ophthalmologist says you are OK. This is usually very quick (3 to 4 weeks). Some prefer to wait at least 2 months before any surgery.

Lower blepharoplasty can generally be done safely following cataract surgery after about 2-3 months. You will need very frequent moisturizing drops for a while. Ask the ophthalmologist who is doing the cataract surgery after the procedure.
