Fat Grafting Can Reduce the Appearance of Breast Implant Rippling
The most common cause of breast implant rippling is when a patient does not have sufficient amount of tissue to cover the implant.
Board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Kamran Khoobehi explains that if a breast implant is too big or the patient is born with inadequate amount of breast tissue to cover the implant, this will result in implant rippling.
“The options for addressing breast implant rippling are if the patient has a saline implant, exchange it with a silicone implant or if they have either a saline or silicone implant and don’t want to change the implant, they can use a fat grafting over the implant into the breast tissue to add volume and add coverage. They work very well together especially on the side that doesn’t have enough muscle to cover the implant” explains Dr. Khoobehi.
Fat grafting will not fix the breast implant rippling but it will make it less noticeable. For more information on breast revisions go to the "procedural page."http://www.smartbeautyguide.com/procedures/breast/breast-revision
